Stevenage look to extend their strong recent form when they host bottom-of-the-table Wigan Athletic in League One this Saturday. The Boro have won four of their last five matches, a run that includes a 2-1 victory over Leicester in the EFL Trophy last week.

Steve Evans's side sit 13th in the division with nine points from seven games. They have been tough to break down, conceding just eight goals all season. Their recent fixtures show a 2-1 win over Luton and a 5-1 thrashing of Barnsley, though they did suffer a narrow 1-0 defeat at Leyton Orient.

Wigan's struggles

Wigan arrive at Broadhall Way having won only once in seven league matches this season. They are rooted to the bottom of the table and have scored a mere five goals, failing to find the net in five of their last seven outings. Their last league result was a 1-0 home loss to Wycombe.

Analyst Anthony Eadson expects a one-sided contest. "Stevenage to dominate," he said. Eadson's score prediction is a 2-0 home win. The match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday at the Lamex Stadium. Stevenage have edged three of the last six meetings between the sides.
