Recent form and next fixture

Stevenage head into the cup tie sitting 13th in League One with 15 points from 11 games, a record of four wins, three draws and four defeats. Their recent form across the last five league games shows three wins and two defeats. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Milton Keynes Dons last time out, a result that leaves them ten points behind the league leaders. The team has scored 15 goals and conceded 11 so far this season. Before the cup tie, they face a key league trip to face Leicester on Saturday 31 October. Leicester currently occupy 11th place, just two points ahead of Stevenage. That match precedes the FA Cup encounter by a week, offering a chance to build momentum for the cup run. Stevenage's recent results have been mixed, with a 3-0 victory over Plymouth and a 2-1 win against Leicester earlier this month, but also a 2-0 loss to Bradford.

Stevenage's next fixture is away to Leicester on 31 October.
